Deliver Real Value

by Michael Latimer

There are so many get rich quick schemes out there that its easy to get sucked into to the mindset that its all about the moneymoneymoneymoney! When you have that attitude its very easy to skimp on value and deliver a horrible product and completely undercut yourself.

Imagine for a minute (not too many minutes) that you do in fact rush for the big bucks as soon as possible. Inevitably your product or service will lack the mmmph to have any staying power whatsoever, your customers won’t be satisfied and the worst part is that they’ll remember you and your name long after your business is dead gone thereby hampering any future plans you might have.

Then how do you create value?

To create value you need to have already obtained it. If you haven’t obtained value, then go get it. How to get it? Gain valuable knowledge and learn valuable skills. Those who create the highest quality products have usually invested an incredible amount of time and effort to acquire this value.

Just take a look at any innovator in any field: Bill Gates, Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss, Michael Jordan the list could go on forever. All these people put everything they had into their products and their industry and in the end were able to produce products that people would gladly pay handsomely for. Products that moved people to act. This is called tangible value.

You can tell if you created a lot of tangible value if people are affected by your creation. Intangible value is when customers merely pat you on the back or give an obligatory nod and don’t ever actually act on your message. Challenge your customers to act by creating something so valuable they cant ignore it.

So to create tangible value you need to obtain tangible value for yourself. Pick a few interests and find out what the most popular books are on those subjects. Go check them out. See if there are any clubs surrounding those interests or hobbies and join them. Audit some classes at your local college.

The best way to absorb and internalize your the value your gaining is to teach it to others. I would suggest starting a blog where you can write down interesting concepts and insights related to your niche. Make videos demonstrating certain skills. You’ll internalize it more and start building a following at the same time.

CHOOSE A TOPIC NOW

Is it a language? Maybe woodworking or metal work? Have you ever wished you knew more about auto mechanics? Have you always admired your friends scrapbooks and wished you could do what she has done?

REMEMBER, the best way to cement your new found knowledge or skill is to teach it to others.

Once you’ve done that you now have something valuable to give. If you can teach people how to gain a new skill or understand complex and important concepts then people will flock to you. The best part is that while providing this value you’re increasing your own value, learning more about your interest. I think you can understand now why Legitimate online businesses take a bit longer than is advertised for you to reach your goals of wealth and prosperity.

So often we see E businesses go live and then skyrocket to the top of the industry or even more common make enough money to make commoners like ourselves to nearly gag.
